Forms for Exceptions

UNC Charlotte may require additional information to process exceptions for residency.

Certain students may be entitled to adjustments in tuition.

• You must have completed your residency application and received a decision through RDS before being considered for an exception.
• Exceptions are handled by UNC Charlotte.
• If you have a question about whether you may or may not qualify for an exception, contact our Residency Compliance Manager.

Complete the form and submit along with required supporting documents. For your security, please do not email the form or supporting documents. Document submission instructions will be provided to you when you are asked to submit your form.

• UNC Employees and their Families
• NC Wards of the State
• Families of Deceased or Disabled Emergency Workers
  • To be eligible for this benefit, the qualifying event must have occurred on or after October 1, 1997.
